Biography
Dr Doug Engelbrecht is a lecturer in the School of Management, IT and Governance’s discipline of Management and Entrepreneurship. He is regarded as a scholar-practitioner, bringing three decades of private sector experience in small business development, venture capital funding, social entrepreneurship and civil society activism to the academy. He specialises in the areas of strategic management, applied business management, knowledge management and corporate governance. He is a self-described critical realist and is completing doctoral study in the policy adequacy attending social development.
