Syanda A. Mthuli is a Senior Lecturer in the Discipline of Public Governance within the School of Management, Information Technology and Governance (SMIG) at the University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN). He is the founder and Director of the Southern Africa Centre of Research & Institutional Development (SACRID). His academic career spans various public institutions of higher learning (universities), teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses in South Africa. In the Institutions, he has held various roles starting as a teaching assistant, researcher and lecturer, gaining a decade of both academic and administrative experience. While supervising research projects of honours, masters (coursework & full-research) and doctoral students. To date he is also a peer-reviewer for local and international journals.
