Dr Pfano Mashau is a Senior Lecturer at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, Graduate School of Business and Leadership. He believes that the ways we make sense of who we are, and how we got here help shape the societies we are striving to build. He holds a PhD in Management. He also has various career development certificates acquired from short courses in winter/summer schools. As an academic, he is involved in lecturing and research. He lectures postgraduate classes. His research focus is on Small Business Development, Innovation, Business Management, Entrepreneurship and Agglomeration Economies.
Prior to working as an academic, he worked for JET Education Services, Bio Regional and with a few small businesses.
Dr Mashau has published over 20 research articles and supervised research studies at Honours, Masters and Doctoral level. Some of the research work has been presented in international conferences.
Dr Mashau aspires to see researchers conducted research studies that are impactful and life-changing.
Dr Mashau interests outside work are cycling, skateboarding and jogging.
