Details of involvement in community projects

A sizeable number of both staff members and students are engaged in community projects as they partake in key decision-making processes towards ensuring the success and sustainability of these projects. Some members of staff sit on the boards of organisations outside UKZN

Details of involvement in research projects

The members of staff have improved a lot in research as they have published articles in reputable journals both locally and internationally. They have also presented papers in highly rated academic conferences around the world.

The members of staff are also involved in book writing, contributing chapters to books, editing books, editing and reviewing journals

The members of staff are actively participating in the review of many Masters and PhD research proposals. Also, they have supervised and graduated a number of Masters and PhD students over the past recent years.
