Professor Mubangizi, a full Professor of Public Administration and Governance and an NRF-rated researcher, previously served the College of Law and Management as the Dean of Teaching and Learning prior to her appointment as the Dean and Head of School for the School of Management, IT and Governance. She also served as the Interim Dean of the School of Built Environment and Development Studies in the College of Humanities from 2015 to 2016.
Professor Mubangizi is the Managing Editor of the African Journal of Governance and
Development and Guest Editor of the Loyola Journal of Social Sciences. She is
also a member of the Comparative Research Programme on Poverty (CROP)’s
Scientific Committee whose role is to serve as a think tank and support
structure which advises CROP in setting a research agenda, as well as knowledge
generation and dissemination processes.
Professor Mubangizi brings a wealth of academic experience to this portfolio as she has been teaching in a tertiary environment for 20 years, has a passion for excellence in teaching and learning underscored by reflective practice, as well as an understanding of the needs of students from various backgrounds. She has successfully supervised many Doctoral and Masters Students and serves as external examiner for several universities.
